What happened yesterday?

Some guy came on yesterday evening US time threatening to take the server down I guess... then did something that caused everyone to time-out (it didnt actually crash the server though). Maybe a small DDOS... he didnt run any commands or anything that I could see in the logs.

I happened to be awake at the time so I heard the pings on my phone of forum posts... checked, and banned the guy (and his IP).
